Authorized ECHO dealers, and the four kinds ECHO names
ECHO writes down what its dealer designations mean, which almost no manufacturer does. It writes them down in an odd place, and it contradicts itself once. Both are worth knowing.
This is an independent directory. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ECHO, and nothing on this page is written or approved by ECHO.
The designation to look for is the service one
Three of ECHO's four designations are mostly about what a shop stocks. One of them is about repair: Master Service Dealers, which ECHO calls the premier warranty and service locations in its network and ties to factory-trained technicians.
That distinction is the whole practical value of ECHO publishing these at all. A dealer carrying the full line and a dealer holding the top service designation are different promises, and if the machine in your car is broken rather than missing, it is the second one you want.
Where ECHO publishes this, and the one contradiction in it
ECHO puts its dealer definitions on its unauthorized-sellers page rather than on its locator, and its own heading there reads Silver Elite Dealers while the paragraph directly beneath it reads Silver Service Dealers. We quote both and reconcile neither: guessing which one ECHO meant would be us writing ECHO's programme for it.
The page it sits on is about counterfeit and grey-market sellers, which is a different subject from where to get a trimmer fixed. It is the only place ECHO explains the designations, so it is where they have to be read from.
One correction while we are here, because it circulates: ECHO publishes no Platinum, Gold or Bronze dealer tier. There is no such thing on any ECHO page.
What an authorized ECHO servicing dealer handles
ECHO makes handheld outdoor power equipment: trimmers, blowers and chainsaws. It makes no mower and no snowblower, so an ECHO authorization is a statement about the handheld bench and nothing else.
That is a narrow catalogue and a useful one. A shop that holds ECHO alongside a mower brand is telling you it runs two different repair benches, which is worth knowing when you are deciding whether to take everything to one place.
Before you carry it in
Ask whether the shop is an ECHO warranty location, not merely an ECHO dealer. ECHO's own vocabulary separates the two and so should the question.
Ask what the turnaround is in the week you are calling. Handheld equipment queues hard in spring and again in autumn, and the honest answer to that question is the best signal you will get about a shop over the phone.

Where to find an authorized dealer
No metro area on this site yet holds 5 shops ECHO has confirmed as authorized dealers, so none has a page of its own. The metro list on the home page is the place to start meanwhile, and this list fills itself in as the directory grows.
